HSE Policy

Our Commitment to Health, Safety & Environment

Naphtali Energy Nigeria Ltd is committed to conducting all operations in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, contractors, clients, and the communities in which we operate, while minimising our impact on the environment.

Our HSE management system is aligned with international standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements, and is integrated into every aspect of our business — from marine logistics and rig moves to supply base management and power station construction.

    Key HSE Commitments

    • Comply with all applicable Nigerian and international HSE legislation, regulations and industry codes of practice.
    • Identify, assess and control hazards associated with our operations to prevent injury, illness and environmental damage.
    • Set measurable HSE objectives and targets, and regularly review performance against these targets.
    • Provide adequate resources, training and competency development for all employees and contractors.
    • Promote a positive safety culture where every individual is empowered to stop unsafe work without fear of reprisal.
    • Continuously improve our HSE management systems through regular audits, inspections and management review.
    • Communicate openly with clients, employees, regulators and communities on HSE matters.
    • Maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures for all operational locations.

    Safety Culture

At Naphtali Energy, safety is not just a policy — it is a core value embedded in our culture. Every employee and contractor is expected to take personal responsibility for safety and to actively participate in our QHSSE programmes. We believe that all incidents are preventable and that zero harm is an achievable goal.

Our safety performance is monitored through leading and lagging indicators, regular safety observations, toolbox talks, and management safety walks. We maintain a zero Lost Time Incident (LTI) target across all operations.

    Environmental Responsibility

We recognise our responsibility to protect Nigeria's natural environment. Our environmental management practices focus on minimising waste generation, preventing pollution, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring responsible disposal of hazardous materials.

All operations are conducted in compliance with the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) regulations, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) environmental guidelines, and applicable international environmental standards.
